I have noticed there are many different types of HDMI cables with huge variation in prices. I have heard the differences such as versions and gold plating etc. I have a proper Sony one that came with my 50" Plasma and a $16 one I got from the local supermarket.
Im just wondering what the differences are between the two. In short, am I missing out on anything by using the $16 one?
If someone could also provide info of "what to look for" when purchasing a HDMI cable that would be awesome (current version, plating, connectors etc)
For example, I was looking at upgrading to one of these
