I just bought a new Vizio 32" tv, and I'm using it as a monitor for my Alienware Laptop (windows 7). I have the HDMI cable plugged in, and the picture comes through just fine, but when I try to set up the audio, it says "HDMI not plugged in" (under playback devices). I've tried:
-restarting the TV & computer (in various orders that other sites have suggested)
-turned the cable around
-uninstalled, re-installed, and updated all the sound drivers
-plugging and unplugging the cable
-tried both the HDMI ports on the TV
I'm not sure what else to do?I used it about a month ago on a different TV, and it worked fine. And to make sure it still worked, I tested the cable on my Xbox 360, and both video and audio worked perfectly.
Does ANYONE have ANY suggestions for me? (aside from get a separate audio cable)
