I have a 42" Panasonic Viera HDTV with 3 HDMi slots and BT Vision, which has an HD output slot. I have bought a £23.00 Gold Plated HDMi cable and hooked it up to the V-Box and TV. I have changed the settings on the Vision-Box so that it displays in Full HD (1080p) but it is not a sharp picture at all. For those of you who have a vision box, you will know that it does not display HD programmes from a TV guide, but does give you OD services with HD programmes on them. I rented the HD and Surround Sound Test (in HD, so I had to download it) and played it, and it is in full 1080p resolution. However, the TV is just not giving me quality picture and is probably the same quality (but a bit higher) that when I had vision in 16:9 Standard Definition mode. It's really annoying as I had to pay £23 for the cable, just wondering what I can do?
I have played around with Viera menus and Picture qualities, like sharpness, PNR etc. I have put it on the right channel and tested what the screen with and without the scart in whilst playing HD. I cannot seem to find any differences - can any of you help me?
