Please forgive me if this is the dumbest question ever on this forum, but here goes:

I have never yet subscribed to HD channels and am thinking of doing so.

However, it would be helpful if I could actually watch an HD channel for a few minutes to see if I like it enough to order it.

Is there any opportunity to "pre-view" an HD channel before ordering it?

If you can't for a specific channel, is there any HD channel that is open without subscribing to see what HD looks like on my tv?

Thanks.

Yes, there is an HD 'barker' channel that shows a continuous loop of HD sample programming. You will, however, need an HD receiver (and the appropriate satellite dish setup for dual satellite reception) to view it or any other HD channel.

If you don't have an HD setup, but know someone with an HD Bell PVR, they can bring it over and plug it in to your TV so you can watch any HD programming they have recorded. It will look identical to HD reception from the satellite.

When you get an HD receiver, there's a package of free channels available, as far as I know. Beyond that, it probably wouldn't break you to subscribe to an HD theme package for $5 or whatever it is for the month in order to check out if you like them or not.

You will like HD. If you have an HDTV and don't subscribe, you're crazy, IMO.

829 used to be the HD barker channel, but now it is an HDPPV channel. 805 is the new HD barker channel.

If you add HD to your existing setup, via the Rental Scheme, you will have 10 days in which to cancel and send it back, at little or no cost to yourself.

If you don't like it, ship it back, if you like it, keep it.
