As posted on here before i have an all year nasal allergy which seems to be triggered mainly with dust and temperature change eg going from outside to inside a shop or similar. This year i have noticed a difference and believe it to be hayfever. My symptoms been:
Headaches, earpain, ear stuffiness, total head stuffiness, dizziness or unbalanced, sore eyes, congested chest feeling hot all the time. Ive had this every day for 4 weeks. Is it typical hayfever? Ive tried everything from beconase to anti biotics and cannot shift. Do people have similar or is it just me?

Hayfever a type of Rhinitis that is linked to seasonal changes(I would say an allergy to grass). Rhinitis - allergy all year round eg. to housedustmite.

Usual symptoms - runny nose, headache, rubbing of nose, sneezing and allergies to other things.

You should consult a Dr. and ask for an allergy test to see what you're allergic to. Can also try antihistamine like cetrizine or allergex(be careful may cause drowziness so if driving or operating machinery be careful).

Thank you all for replying. The vasmotor thing has ran through my head (pardon the pun)! i definately feel worse in heat or walking in from the heat to an air conditioned shop, i go all wizzy (and its not anxiety - this comes afterwarRAB if i 'let' it). Im going to look for acupuncturists - how long does it last for?

regular irrigation with a neti pot or sinurinse bottle will help alleviate some of the symptoms

You asked how long the acupuncturist treatment lasts and that will vary according to the weather and the person. For me, it is generally one week, but I live near the beach, so the fog rolls in and it drives me nuts. Was fine yesterday and am going nuts today. The acupuncture treatment is worth its weight in gold. there is not one medication that has helped as much or as quickly. In regard to my balance, I walked into her office looking like the city drunk and was MUCH better when I walked out. I could not believe the difference in just one hour. Had been going to balance therapy for months, which was a total waste of money!

Richard --

In response to all the posts you've made about the sinus problems, try chlor-trimeton. I'm sure you saw someone else that suggested it on the boarRAB, and I've been taking 12 hour chlor-trimeton and sudafed for about half a week now and there's a significant change. Give it a try, good luck.

You could have vasomotor rhinitis. It can cause the blood vessels in your head to swell, which, in turn can have an effect on your ears and cause all sorts of trouble with irabalance. It can also make you have a fuzzy head and the list goes on. I have had it for years and the best relief for me is Chinese acupuncture. I can walk into the acupuncturist's office swaying like the city drunk and when I walk out, my walk is MUCH steadier and I can think much better. Give it a short; you have nothing to lose!!

Hi, Rhinitis is a nonspecific term that covers infections, allergies, and other disorders whose common feature is the location of their symptoms. In rhinitis, the mucous merabranes become infected or irritated, producing a discharge, congestion, and swelling of the tissues. So Rhinitis is simply the result, it is not a specific condition. For example an allergy to pollen,= hayfever, causes Rhinitis, which is simply a term used to describe the symptoms of the allergy at that site. Any medical term with "itis" on the end, means "inflammation of".
