I was hoping this would happen. So tired and pissed that HRC has screwed Nicky over. I mean, how can you treat the '06 champ as poorly as they have???? Typical Spanish attitudes.....same thing you see in international cycling, where the best rider, adn the one who has really paid his dues isn't treated even equally just because the main sponsor is Spanish and that rider happens to be Spanish.

In Melandri's defense, I think he is a great rider, just not suited to the sedici.....I think it is a bit of a stretch to say "he sucks" though....none of us could even get around the track on a GP bike, let alone ride one at speed without plowing it....all those guys are supermen IMHO......And I freaking love how it's ALL Michelin's fault that he went so poorly at Brno...http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/69871.......not a single comment about his broken wrist...what a douche'

Jeez, can you tell I am not a Pedrosa fan....hehehehehe.....

Is Hopper staying is Kawi???

Yes, he's staying through next year at least. Hoppers contract is through '09. There is a great interview with him in the latest issue of Sport Rider. He was doing really good at Brno until the last few laps when he faded fast. But he is hurting, so all in all a good showing after missing a few races and being pretty F-ed up!

I'm with you! Can't wait to get some Hayden Ducati merch. Wonder what his new Arai helmet will look like? I need another helmet, and now think I will wait to see if they come out with a new Hayden replica next year. My Hayden Wired is in good shape, but it's getting close to that 5 year mark.

i think the Duc will suit Hayden better than the Honda. he'll also get treated like one of the family rather than an American on a Japanese/Spanish team.

Havent' been following the hayden/honda problems. so what exactly did honda do to piss of hayden? i do know that they basically designed the bike for Pedrosa, and Hayden complaining that the bike was too small for him.

HRC just isn't doing much to help get Nicky something he can ride, or give him the support he needs. They have a tendancy to treat their riders poorly. That is why Rossi jumped ship to Yamaha. He said that they treated him just like another employee no matter how well he did, and he won just a couple of Championships for them! Hayden is a World Champ too, and won yet another title for Honda, but the very next year they build a bike to suit their own Spanish rider, and not the reigning champ who brought them the title the year before. HRC does a good job, but their employee employer relation ship could use some improvement. Give guys credit where it is due. Rossi said that no matter how well he did for them, it was never enough and he never really got the support he deserved, and that is what Hayden has been dealing with. Riding for a company that doesn't support him. Hayden is a great rider, and hopefully the GP9 and Ducati will help get him back on track. I'd love to see Nicky fighting at the front again and winning races. That's my opinion of the situation at least from everything I have read and heard over the years about HRC and their riders. Can't wait to see a #69 on the front of a Desmo and Nicky all suited up in Red!!!

BIG mistake, if ducati take Hayden...There is much better drivers around 250cc (Simoncelli, Bautista, Kallio etc.) of course Ducati want sell more bikes in USA, and take Hayden is good for marketing...

There are some great 250 riders out there, but Hayden has the experience on the GP bikes and will be up to speed much quicker IMHO. Plus his aggressive style I think will suit the Duc' well.

Cool to hear Hopper is staying with the big K. He is a great rider and I hope he gets healthy again. It was great to see him up front at Brno, but that busted up left ankle sure cost him a podium spot as it bothered him more later in the race.......
