having trouble gettin htc droid eris to change prl

I have an Eris on Cricket. Had it about 3 weeks. some apps are quirky in terms of connecting but the weird thing is I can receive mms no problem just cant receive them. If you disable the mobile network and open messages you can access the settings for mms. they are not greyed out and changeable. As far as them sticking I doubt it but like I said I can receive pics just cant send them. Just set name to cricket mms, MMSC: http://mms.mycricket.com.servlets/mms(basically replace vtext with mycricket), I made mms proxy 8080 and left port blank.

I tried your turning off the network but mine are still grayed out. Any reason that this is not activating for me to change it? Thx

I successfully got talk and text but couldn't figure out Wap. Now thanks to this forum I'm under the impression I need to Install Anycut from the marketplace and use it to edit the wap settings! Thanks for all the info!

Sweet! The Anycut worked for the web! Now if I can just figure out how to change the mms settings. I've tried disabling the Mobile Network and the settings are still grayed out... and my phone is activated. Am I doing something wrong!? I'm going to wireless controls and unchecking mobile network. Is this right?

so to just do talk and text all i need to do is load a prl on the sd card then ##778 then load prl and thats it. can anyone confirme this

Try *22804 see if that works, it will work on most phones for talk and text. If not you can load a PRL through the epst menu also.

so, am i right that I can copy a 91942.prl for example, to my HTC Incredible CD (root directory). Then dial ##778 and it will load that prl? also, what additional steps are needed for web/data? ty
