ive already done everything by the book on making sure everything is in good working order (stator, rectifier, battery, ect.) except for checking the key switch(which im thinking is what needs replaced) but from looking at schematics it shows their should be a fuse somewhere on it and i cant find one at all. could this be my problem?? if it is where can i get the proper connections to install one?

A common location for a main fuse is in the positive lead to the battery. You might also look in the headlight shell, but if you remove side panels, seat and tank, it will be in there somewhere, most likely somewhere amidships.

The fuse holder is held onto the metal plate that holds the regulator/rectifier and starter solenoid.
The battery (+) wire goes to the starter solenoid.

if your lookin for the line on the key switch it should be near its headlights or they said its neck where lines for head lights flasher,horns..should be located...but if your lookin for fuse or fuse box it is always near the battery.
