Tried to post but hit the wrong button and it may show up or not. The surgery went fine, they put me into withdrawals in the hospital the second night. Not fun!!! Not the smartest people at the hospital. I have my first appointment and x-ray tomorrow. Hope its all still straight in side. I have had a lot of pain in my legs and now lower back butt and hips. Is the the skeletal changing pain the doct. said I would get? He raised me up about 3/4 inch, both my older and taller son's said I am taller, I don't fit under their chins anymore. LOL I'm still bed, walk, bed walk. Getting really tired of this. When will I turn the corner and feel as if this was the right thing to do??? Oh, and to top the cake, my youngest son broke his arm yesterday:eek: and now is in bed in the next room too.

Hey Ematork,

I woke up in the RR and the leg pain was gone and the deep core pain was gone and I pray you will be the same!!! The last couple of days I really think I have turned the corner so I am 3.5 weeks post op! I walked yesterday for 30 min and it even had a pretty steep hill and I am not paying for it today!! You know I had seen before hand like you are doing of some ot the things I might need post op. The 500 thread count was a nice perk! I did not get a grabber or a potty lift thing. My hubby helped me get stuff along with my kiRAB and I used my leg muscles alot in lifting up off the potty as well as my hubby helped, I would use him as a brace. See how you do before you spend the $$$ as they are not cheap. I did not want one as I knew I would feel very old (my grandmother had one) and I am only 42!! You can't live life as you are now and I too had some good day's that made me wonder and then really bad day's. It is a big decision but I am SOOOOOOOO glad I did it! I am on my way to getting my life back and will not need pain medicine to get through a day!!!!!!!!!

Good luck to you on your recovery. I'm guessing the pain is from the healing and the standard "post surgical" pain. I'm 12 weeks out and still get pain from the hardware (though relatively minor, just on occasion)

It osunRAB like you are on the road to recovery. It takes time to heal and time for the bone ache to go away. My surgeon gave me two inches back in height and boy did it ache. Ya just gotta ride it out. It will get better. And as your nerves settle down, that pain will dissapate also. Patience my dear!;)
