Well the I have been thinking about joining the army for a while now. First off, im 18 and don't need parent permission but they still don't want or support me joining. I don't know if I could get through BCT knowing they don't support my decision! Second, I want to join to serve my country, bring honor to my last name, and for some educational benefits. I'm close with my parents but I don't really open up to them about anything so to tell them I want to serve my country, they'll just look at me like Im high or something. Would it be right to go off and do something that they don't approve of?? I think the main reason is that, they are scared and with the war going on that just adds to it. I mean I thought about waiting till the war is over (if its ever over) but when I think about that, it seems like my time will have passed me by. So I would love to hear some of your guys opinion!!
