I forgot to mention this was from a traumatic injury to my spine I was crushed in a bus accident where whole body crushed whatt is ultiple fractures n multiple herniations most severe at lurabar 4 thru s1 w perm nerve damage I had been experiencing some leakage but now all of a Sudden unconscionable-I cannot control my bladder it is flowing out by it self and I am erabarrassed and scared I think the nerve damage has maybe steamers havoc and the pain in my low back radiating down legs is unbearable nervous wreck n terrified

call your Orthopedic ASAP! That is a sign of lower back problems and they can guide you the best.

Yes, ASAP, and if you can't get through, go to the emergency room. Run a search and look for "cauda equina syndrome." It is important IF this is the issue (and they can test at the ER) that you get the nerves decompressed soon or the damage can be permanent. This is one of only three reasons when a back issue is considered an emergency.

Don't mean to scare you...it could be something else, but it is better to be safe than sorry...so please get it checked out right away.

I hope you have taken the other posters advise and have seen either your own spine specialist or an ER doctor. If this is cauda equina it is imperative that you get help ASAP.....there is no time to put things off; the longer you wait the less chance there is for successful surgery.

Please let us know as I am truly concerned.
