I really want to join the military once I graduate high school. Though, i want to go to college at some point. I guess I should mention that I am a female. Im not sure which branch I am most interested in. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Or maybe options I should consider?

well in the Army if you go missing they will say you are MIA and be done with it
in the Navy or Air Force or on ten million dollar ship or plane they will find you lol
Im a female too and my dad told me that i should join the navy because if you do you get to travel the world and get paid for it

Honestly.

Figure out what you want to do in life.

Then look up the branches of military and decide from there.

Only you know what you want to do in your life. Each branch has a different objective.

Have you taken the ASFAB and talked to the different recruiters? The ASFAB can help you determine what you are best capable of doing, and recruiters can show you a list of the jobs you qualify for. They are willing to talk to you even if you are not willing to make a decision and sign the paperwork right away (but keep in mind, their job is to sell you into signing).

If you are an exercise nut and in really good shape then I would suggest the Army or Marines.

If you are more inclined to be a couch potato then I would suggest the Air Force.

If you like water sports, sailing, water skiing and the like, then the Navy. Most of their bases for obvious reasons are on the coasts and great lakes. If you want something more inside the USA, then the Coast Guard as they patrol the Great Lakes, rivers and Lake Tahoe.

If you are more into saving lives then the Coast Guard is where to do.

OR if there is a particular job you want, then see which one gives you the best opportunity to do it.

well it all depends on what you want to do for a living. if you want to be a little bitch then join the marine corps they make the worlds best bitches. if your a junior in high school then you can join the army reserves split option program, contact a recruiter. just do some research, and good luck with everything.

Many people overlook the United States Coast Guard. It is a good branch that does many important jobs both in peacetime and in wartime. Its a small service with a big job but I can tell you that for many people there is no better opportunity for job satisfaction. The Coast Guard helps people, saves lives, enforces laws, works with other agencies such as the DEA and ATF to stop smuggling and protect our borders, and when we go to war the Coast Guard fights like any other service patrolling rivers and coast and getting troops ashore in amphibious landings.
Any service can provide you with a step up for college, job experience, and learning discipline and responsibility. The Coast Guard is no worse in these things but also lets you spend your time in service actually impacting peoples lives in a positive way. Saving lives, making our harbors and coast safer, enforcing our laws.

Think of it this way. Do you like to fly, sail, or walk. If you like to fly then choose the air force, if you like to sail choose the navy, if you like to walk choose the army. but the decision is up to.
