Have you received a new Smart Card from Bell?

A few months back I (OK, my "I didn`t do it" kids) lost the card from the receiver (3100).
Can I just wait for the new card in the mail or do I have to spend the money for a replacement.

2004? You realize it's 2008 don't you? Dish is changing to Nagra3 as well, and they like to keep in step, that's the more likely reason.

Received my cards for my two 4100s and for my 6100. I assume I won't get one for my 9242 since it didn't arrive with the others. There were all reactivated within 15 minutes using the website.

I received 3 cards for a 2700, 3100 and a 9200 on Tuesday and I performed the swap this morning. No problems. All units are up and running.

That would be your best option. Get it activated with the new card then put it back in the garage.

Finally received the new card for my 9200 today. Activated online, and everything was a go in about ten minutes total.

Juas received 3 new cards, 9200, 5200 and 2700. Not using the 2700, BEV was told a year ago that the 2700 was no longer in service.

Put the cards in the 9200 and 5200, then went to www.bell.ca/smartcards and activated them. I have gotten confirmation e-mail but the programming hasn't kicked back in yet (1/2 hour so far).

Will wait and see how much longer the programming takes.

Received my replacements last Thursday for three receivers

5900
3100
2700

Swapped them out with no issue - activated - three receivers, three cards, total time (up and down three levels in my house.. LOL) about 10 minutes. BEV stated that programming would return between 15 minutes to 2 hours, but my TVs were up and running with full programming in about 5 minutes. Very impressive, and as Hugh states, would we expect VISA to come to our house and activate our new credit cards?

As well - upgraded to HD - installer had me upgraded on Tuesday this week (June 3) with a 9242 and 6141 HD receivers - no smart cards in them.

All is good!

Got 4 new cards in the mail a few days ago. All my recievers at this place are 4100s. Reactivated them easily within a few minutes on the website. Only 3 recievers are in use now as one is shmucked.

If that were the case, BeV would have MPEG-4/8PSK on some of its channels by now, just like Dish has...
What are the signs Dish is going Nagra3?

Wonder how long it will take them to complete the swap, it will be nice to see the hackers get shut down, I really hope it works this time.

I've not got SmartCards yet. I have, although, gotten warnings on channels that I've purchased:

"This smart card is not authorized to view this channel."

This is on Digital Standard channels.

I just spent half the night on the phone with BEV techs because adding the new cards for my 9200's resulted in all channels being disabled. In the end, the tech had me swap the cards, which solved both 9200's instantly. It seems BEV got something swapped, since I had the right ones in the right machines (I'm anal about writing down the numbers before I start) - and they were verified multiple times by me and the techs.

It would have been funny, except at the end of the call, the guy told me I got them backwards! He was doing real well until that point!

The graph doesn't make sense because once you have received your cards, you can't change your answer.
