Have you noticed that TV Commercials are LOUDER?

I asked my friend and she says no. I turn down the friggan volume or mute on commercials cause I can't stand the blarring can be almost deafening, so obnoxious...do you agree? If so have they gone too far, why don't they just slap us in the face?
Who allows this anyway? The FCC, lobbyists go to those gov guys again? what?
