became successful? My sister says she is worried "about what to do w/her time" once her 2 children are grown. And told me a few times she was interested in med school, but thought by then "she'd be too old". I hope she doesn't toss in the towel to at-least go after some kinda dream of hers.
Pls answer above question,thx.

I'm 57, and plan on going back to school. It won't be as drasticas med school, unless I get a windfall and can become an attorney. I plan on broadening my present career and taking Spanish and sign language. I am going to take some business refreshers for computer programs.

i dont think she'll be too old. my mom went back to school a couple years ago because her kids were finally old enough. im the baby of 6 kids and now im 16. she went to law school and just graduated earlier this year. she also just took the bar last month, and she's going to be 49 this year. she managed to figure out what she wanted and she got her degree and is working in a law office and will be a lawyer very soon. she went back when she was older, and i couldnt be more proud of her. 50 is not too old at all. you can still have ambitions and conquer them. and kudos to your sister if she does decide to go back to school.
