I was just wondering if anyone has heard of it or if anyone has picked up a copy. My good friend's stepfather was a coauthor. I find the book very interesting because it basically shows that accepting a higher power ANY higher power in your life can be very beneficial to your brain and brain power; Concurrently, it shows that focusing on negative aspects of religion (such as going to Hell, crucifixion, etc.) have a very negative effect on your brain.
Have you read it? If so, what did you think?

Um, the whole point of the book is that focusing on the positive aspects of spirituality is supposed to be beneficial to your brain. It has nothing to do with whether or not the "higher power" is real or not. The "higher power" could be a tree if you wanted it to be.
