Have you had a family that was killed during the war? If so how did you cope with it?

I'm 22 now, I have just finished SOI and heading to South Central Afghanistan in July for a seven month deployment. I lost both my Brother and Dad to the War on Terror, My Brother was killed by an IED a year ago, and my Dad was killed in the Summer of 2004 during an ambush. Originally they were not going to send me over there but they found out that I had alittle brother who could carry on the last name if was killed so they agreed to let me go with my unit.

My mom grew my brothers and I up to be a christian family, I attended Bible College until I found out my Brother was killed. It drove me so crazy at first I would throw the Bible around kick, scream, yell, and get emotional. I felt like maybe if I enlisted to go and fight that will help me move on some more. It still kind of effects me because alot but I would like some advice on how others handled similar situations. I don't like to disclose this information in person so I'm referring to online for now.

Listen Kid Man up or your going to wind up dead like them focus on small things like scorpions searching for food in 120 f or the camel spider. Death is a natural order of everyone better to meet it on your feet in your prime rather than in old age in bed. Also find a hobby like collecting the ears of the dead afgans you kill. Go on a Silent Nite Op with a Couple of buds and take your revenge on those sand baggers.
