Have you ever used a scrapbook format to make a cute story book for your child?

I just recently started my daughter's scrapbook and I think it's so fun! I am thinking about making a story book using scrap book material and photos or pictures from magazines or even just drawing them myself. A mix of all of that. Has anyone else tried this?
