Have you ever sold produce from your garden at the local farmers' market or flea market?

If so, have you had to get any special licenses?
There was a time when people grew fruit trees in their yards and their kids would go door to door to sell it. Has over-regulation eliminated these opportunities? With the economy so bad and people looking for ways to make money, do you think this situation might be liberalized?
 
The flea markets are just a "rent a space" thing .
The only regulation would be if you tried to sell certain cooked items . . .
You Can have salmonella and botulism in home cooked things . . .

I've bought pecans at garage sales, and sold some of my oranges & pomegranates to my neighbors. as for rules... only one i know of is that it is illegal to sell pecans that were picked up off the ground
