...right there, next to yourself? One time I ran down a flight of stairs and, at the bottom, just happened to glance behind me, and there was... ME, running down the stairs--in other words, an image of what had just transpired there. The image faded almost instantly, but for just that instant I was seeing myself just as others see me, in the real world, not in a mirror or a photo, but right there in front of me.
So... what WAS that?
Obviously not my ghost. Was it a physical "impression" fleetingly left in the fabric of space-time?
And if so... could this possibly be some explanation of "ghosts"?
This happened many, many years ago. I've been "fine", haven't needed a psychiatrist (snotty shots from some who probably need serious help themselves notwithstanding). It never happened again. I'm convinced it was a physical phenomenon. It was, in fact, a "photographic" image of what had just occupied that space, i.e., me running down the stairs. It didn't talk to me, didn't morph into an eggplant, it just faded quickly--like the after-image of a quickly moving hand.
Which is why I put it here in the science/physics section.
Any other ideas?
