Have you ever seen an "Unfinished" film ?

In 1995, I got a pirate VHS of "Casper The Friendly Ghost".
The special effects had not yet been put into the film !
So when Bill Pullman was (I think) running up a staircase, he was being chased by a ghost who WASN'T THERE !! :D
Anybody else had this type of film ?
 
I went to see a test audience screening of 'Goldeneye' before it was released..most of the effects wasnt finished and some parts of it you could still see the blue screen, it was really intresting...it was so funny at the end seeing sean bean sliding across the floor on a skateboard in a blue room when he was supposed to be falling from that satalite thingy :)
 
I watched Wolverine before a lot of the special effects were added. I remember watching Hostel as well, which wasn't exactly effects laden but was weird when a lift door open and all you see is pure green in the "lift" :D
 
I watched two rough cuts of the Star Wars trilogy before the films were completed in 2004. Come to think of it, I'm not sure the versions I saw in 2004 were the final cuts.;)
 
There's an interesting documentary called 'Henri-Georges Clouzot's Inferno' about a French director wangling a lot of money out of Hollywood to make a weird film about jealousy that all went tits up when he blew all the money on endless test shots and experiments with makeup and colour manipulation. It drags a little but remains quite interesting none the less. Judging by what was actually shot I think we can all breath a sigh of relief that it never actually made it into a finished film.
