Have you ever eaten expired pasta sauce?

I just did, is it bacteria or something less harmful that gives it a disgusting taste? It was just tomato sauce...

I never eat expired "anything".

I once ate some cottage cheese the day before the expiration date and got deathly ill with food poisoning.

I would never eat anything that is anywhere near the expiration date now.
