Have you ever been led down the garden path?

Honest people assume that all people are honest until they prove themselves otherwise. Unfortunately honest people are therefor led down the garden path, led down the primrose path and sometimes they are led down the rosy path. I was told that the first time it happens it is shame on them. If it happens the second time it is shame on you.
I am encouraged by the old adage, " What goes around comes around " I do hope that this is true as I have been led down the path and it is pretty disappointing sometime.
 
Yes, too many times in my life, I have been led down the garden path, only to find out that if I would have stopped to smell the flowers along the way....I might have noticed that they were still in their nursery pots & I was on a path to nowhere in a world of illusion. Oh well, at least I lived long enough to laugh about it!
