For example, in "Tombstone", Brad Pitt play Doc Holliday. He played the part so well that he set the standard. Now anytime I see another actor play Doc Holliday I find myself comparing them and saying "Brad Pitt was better".
ACK!..thanks 'Shout"...I can't believe I made that mistake. Yes the actor was Val Kilmer and not Brad Pitt that set the standard I was referring to. I knew that, I have no idea why I typed the wrong name.
Good answers so for. Another one: Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka. Johnny Depp is a very talented acter but no one could follow Gene's near perfect protrayal.
