Have you and your spouse ever discussed your expectations for each other?

My husband and I did the other day and I was kind of surprised at how different our expectations were.
 
Yes, my expectation of him is to clean up after himself, go to work and come home at a reasonable time. I also expect him to be a respectful husband and good father. He also has to "F" me hard atleast 3 nights a week

His expectations of me are, to be a good mother, take my work seriously, do laundry, blow him 2 times a week and have babies.
 
Yes, directly and indirectly.

We were active members of the same church, so there was a strong underlying understanding of what each of us would bring to the marriage when we dated.

After we got married, I learned that there were a lot of things that my mom did for my dad that my husband would rather do himself--like his own laundry and cleaning up his own document clutter. I learned that when I did certain things for him, he assumed that I thought he was helpless in those areas, which is a kind of thinking that was foreign to me. I love it now, though!
