I'd realy like to know! We spend 756 MILLION dollars every day over there and what in the flike do we have to show for it. Jiminy Cricket on a stick.

We have a lot to show for it. Maybe you should open your eyes and try to expose yourself to this.

McCain '08

Well...blame the voting public for electing a freaking moronic dictator as our commander and chief. If McCain is elected, the war will continue indefinitely. I guess our only hope is Obama...God help us all.

I would like to see that money spent on people in the country....I "support our troops" meaning I pray for their safety and their mental health and their families...but I see no reason for us to be involved over there....and it means we are less "involved" in helping our own citizens here.
I really hope the next Administration figures out how to get us out of there, and to stop corporate welfare.

IT'S NOT A WASTE! your just one of those people who takes their freedom for granted! look for all u know u could wake up tomorow and not have anything! they dont have freedom, and thats why were fighting! they would ALL be dead right now! we would also be in danger!

Yes. We have spent too much. I'd like to see our country start paying off our enormous debt before we add to it.

Well you do have a point, but now a days to battle modern enemies, we have to be their modern enemies. And to do that we need to pay for modern technology and weapons. I think the problem is that America is demanding instant gratification expecting a tremendous outcome. We need to think in small time increments and continue to lend our support. We're dealing with so much on our plate that all we need is patience and trust. Besides, your tax money is going there so either live with it or get thrown in jail for tax evasion.

I know war is bad and this whole situation has caused a mass controversey, but maybe the new president can change things. Think about it, we've had the same president lead this country through most or all of this and has been calling the shots with military payroll and economy and whatnot. People just haven't seen an alternative outcome before with the war in Iraq. I hope this helps.

Well my husband is in the army and I do not like the fact that he was told that he has to go to Iraq but I do not think it is a waste of our time or money we are trying to help them and in the process it might help us to keep from having another 9/11

Any money we spent in Iraq that didn't improve the lives of its people was poorly spent. We also spent money on military funerals that could have been used in a more beneficial way. We have not found the culprit of 9/11 because our supposed allies harbor him and the world is not a better place because Saddam Hussein is no longer in it!
