What can we do but bend over and take it? If everyone was to quit driving a block or two away we could stick it to the oil companies and stop being so dependent on oil. But this will never happen because we as a society are in love with our cars. I mean who really needs to drive a Hummer that gets 8 MPG? No one but military but they sell like crazy.
