Have we a "longest" thread in the works?

I don't recall who keeps track of statistics like that, but it seems to me
the "chicken fat/sick cat" thread may be going for a record. If not overall,
then certainly in its -- well -- category.

Nobody keeps track. It's usnet and no one really cares.

I can only think of one case were some twit was keeping track of posts
on a particular OT thread. Every time someone posted to the thread he
would post a response with the running tally of the posts on the thread.
That earned him a spot in several kill files.

Thanks! Sadly I did look at the tiny Jewish section of Albertsons and they
didn't have any schmaltz in a can. Daughter went to the Dr. today and we
stopped there on the way home for some more medicine and stuff for the BRAT
diet. She doesn't currently have that problem but the way this bug seems to
go, it's likely she could get it again.

How can you forget the "Telemarketers" thread? John Kuthe was the twit in
question. Was all his hard work in VAIN?

It took a long time to get out of mine. I thought he was a psychopath

I think the "The beet goes on" thread has been running quietly for
years. It goes dormant for a while and then gets resurrected

It sure beat the hell out of my "How to use Oven Mits" thread. I'm
jealous now. All I had to do was mention a cat and I would have won.

Oooohhhh! I remember that! And he's still posting, I do believe. Not
killfiled, as there is still a certain amusement value involved.

Actually, I'm responsible for the lastest resurrection. It was front
page of the LA Times food section this week and I couldn't resist.
Didn't realize it was an oldie, but moldie.

Someone here used to do that occasionally too. Maybe it was the same
