Have u noticed how fashion and habits seem to differ a lot from country to country?

What ive noticed is that where i am,London,
wide belts are very popular,and wide waist belts outside jackets and tops.This has been fashionable for a long time now.

Then many people on yahoo answer to this,that they dont like belts/
never wear belts/
would only ever wear skinny belts (which i dont see much here)/
dont even like to show the belt/
wear belts just loose/
cant breathe with belts etc etc.

I just wonder where these people live,
because its not here!
