Sometime in July I'm going camping with my volunteer group. This is bad enough because I'm not really into camping but it's one of those things I kind of need to go to in relation to the work we do (working with kids, the trip will be primarily on leadership training).
The thing is most camping trips usually involve swimming at some point or another. I don't swim, I do not like water and I don't even own a bathing suit. Is there any reasonable excuse I can tell the group leader as to why I won't be swimming? I can't really think of anything but to tell her quite bluntly that I don't like swimming, but she's a very understanding lady.
