...recipes on internet? Many publications from the print industry have seen either declining readership or growth that is slower than population growth due to competition with more electronic media. But recipes are very ingredient oriented and are particularly easier to find electronically via search engines than leafing through one or more cookbooks to see if it has the recipe or combination of ingredients you are looking for.

So have sales of cookbooks been in decline or have they experienced growth slower than the population as a result of competition from internet / search engines and electronic media? Or have they expanded faster as a result of the proliferation of cable television channels and more network protrams promoting cooking?
