...treating them bad? A female friend today confided in me that she was sick of men. When I asked her why she told me that all they do is use her for a while and then dump her. She said that she had a boyfriend recently that was really nice to her but she didn't find him attractive enough so ended it,..... And this has led me to a theory about women when it comes to finding men,..... I know it's generalizing but I think about 80% of women fit this framework so give me your opinions,......
Girls (or the sort I'm talking about) will constantly chase the best looking partner they think they can get. The guys, particularily the guys who've had their ego's inflated by being the constant focus of female attention, will in turn do the same. But those guys will catagorise girls as either the sort of girl that would be "good" enough to have a relationship with, or the sort of girl that "would only be good enough" to use for sex in the short term until something better comes along. The girls will, again in turn, catagorise the "level" (and remember I'm talking from within the psyche of which I speak and not my own) of guy they can get by the ones who fake genuine attention to get what they want in the short term from the girl. This leads the girl to be unable to accept that there's a difference between the "standard" of guy she can get long term, and the "standard" of guy she can get to use her short term. This causes a state of affairs in which the girl will constantly be chasing the sort of guy that will just use her (based on their own set of "standards") and brush off the guys who she could have had a relationship with, because she thinks they are below her own attainable "standard". This would explain why the majority (I'd say about 80%) of girls are always asking "why do guys treat me like ****?"
Does anyone else think I've got this right and, if so, isn't it a sad reflection on us as a species that we're becoming increasingly base and shallow that this appears to be norm?
When I put this to the girl in question she asked "So you think I should drop my standards?" to which I replied "No I don't, but if you want to be happy, you have to RAISE your standards by changing your CRITERIA",. Am I right here too?
