have i got a right to sue vodafone, i'm currently on a 12 month contract with them?

i lost my phone a few weeks ago, iv'e had my contract suspended for the next twelve month's but vodafone says i still have to pay the contract. iv'e allready had a go at my local vodafone store manager claiming i''m not paying for a phone i don't have, i told them to either replace the phone, cancel my contract or i'll take legal action. they reckon my lost phone might turn up but i want to get a new phone, which is why i wan't my contract cancelled because i wan't to switch to o2 anyway but vodafone won't let me part company. the main reason why vodafone won't let me cancel my contract is because it's legally binding, it has to run it's course. can they still make me pay out a contract for a phone which i no longer have

i mean i signed up for 24 months lost phones don't come into the contract as far as their concerned.

i think i should be given a new phone because i still have 12 months left
what good is a replacement sim, i don't have a phone to use it with, you can't just put a sim into thin air
what would vodafone do if i refuse to pay the bills, which is what i'm going to do, i'm going to stop paying. i think this is easily done, all i do is contact barclays and tell them i no longer have a contract with vodafone and to cease paying any bills from vodafone and to rid vodafone from my barclays account.
considering i have a contract and no longer have a phone, would vodafone let me have a new phone on my existing contract. the phone being lost is relevant because i'm currently on a suspended contract for a phone i no longer have and am never going to have again. i either have to end that contract or re activate it with a new phone.

i wan't to end it anyway because i'm going to have a contract with o2 next week anyway and i don't wan't to be tied to two contract's with two network providers
