Have I figured out what people really want?

It seems as if people just want to be left alone. I am going to do that from now on. No more looking up old friends and chatting about stuff they don't want to hear about anyway. I am not going to call my family members for no reason anymore. I am not going to chat with a coworker about out life stories. The more I do this the more it seems to push people away. I still have my beautiful wife and kids that are always interested in my humor and insight!!!

You are right in many ways. I agree 100%, your wife and kids seem to be your main focus and whenever you say these life stories or contact people to check up on them, it's like don't bother me. So let's save it and focus on what's needed right? If you forget your family, i guess you could say they can fall apart. You need them and they need you
 
It sounds like you're down and are thinking of a personal reason as to why you are saying all of this. People like interaction, so don't leave them alone entirely. Instead, maybe wait to be approached or try to listen to what someone has to say more. We are a talkative nation. Instead of listening to what someone says, we wait for them to pause to interject. Try listening.
