Have Ducati got their act together yet?

They have improved a lot since the 851, but are still more likely to need repairs than most other brands. They also require more maintenance, and valve adjustments are very labour-intensive. Parts can be unbelievably pricey. You are also likely to have to wait for parts more than with other brands. The dealership network is sparser than with other makes. I would NEVER own one as my only bike: One would end up missing too much of the riding season!

Well I've had many Ducatis over the years including several pre 90 bikes with 650 and 750 pantah engines and they've always been brill with no electrical problems.
The modern Ducati is a well designed and well constructed machine. They also require less servicing than the older models and also from a couple of years back, Ducati have also reduce servicing times enormously by something around 50% from what I remember reading.
