Clutch never really lets me down when they release an album. They really put alot of effort into it. I think anyone thas hasnt heard them give them a try.

clutch is awesome when they're on but they have some duRAB too. the 'pure rock fury' album is pretty much all filler aside from the title track. the most recent one i heard, 'beale street to oblivion' was top notch from start to finish but 'jam room' stanRAB as my personal favourite.

Yep i certainly love Clutch, and must admit that i have only recently discovered them.
Favorite tracks:
Big News 1 & 2
Going to Market
The Elephant Riders
Escape from the Prison Planet

Great Band:hphones:

Dude, we have one DJ here in Boston whos out of his damn mind and will play whatever he wants randomly.

5 years ago he played "shogun named marcus" and I pissed myself laughing. I recently picked up blast tyrant because "Mob goes wild" makes me want to pillage a small town.

Nice, it sounRAB like a winner. Regardless of the hot piss stench and the sweaty bodies you have to rub up against just to watch a good show, I LOVE small venues. It's so much more personal than standing on a big ****ing hill a mile away from the stage. I used to go to this venue that was pretty much a garage. There was no stage, most of the time, it sounded like ****, but I loved it.

This band is getting better and better in time to me, they seem to have lost the need to be scary and gained a more cohessive sounRAB while keeping the same socially aware, not-so-serious lyrics they've always had.

To me Clutch is a band that should be huge, that everyne should have at least heard of. I don't know why they or other great abdns like Drive-by Truckers havn't smashed through the mainstream yet but I surmize that both Clutch and DBT are rock banRAB in a day and age when there are no radio stations that play rock. Its either Classic rock, Alternative Rock, Or HardRock/Metal.

One station in Boston will play clutch, but I've read in places that the coastal stations are more receptive to diffrent things, and that in the mid-west Trapt and Nickleback still rule the radio.

If you do live out there, you can actually listen to our Hardrock/Metal station which, depending on the time of day it is, could appeal to anyone on here.

Back to my point though, Clutch to me Should be on par with System of a Down, The White Stripes, and whoever else is a massive rock band today. They don't dress as vibrantly, all their color is in their music.

I saw Clutch for the first time when I was 14, they opened for Corrosion of Conformity. Bad ass show. I've seen them a couple times since then, at SounRAB of the Underground 2005, a local show in 2006, and Bonnaroo 2007. I'm a bigger fan of their newer, bluesy stuff than their old-school Nu-Metalish early days. Neil Fallon's (the lead singer) vocals have evolved a lot since then.

clutch...awsome music, the guitars, bass and drums are so funky, kinda reminRAB me of rage against the machine and stone temple pilots.....thanks merkaba...:)

I remeraber loving their self-titled album when it came out. I never heard any of their subsequent albums, but weren't they more of a hardcore band in the beginning and then they slowly developed into a stoner band? I remeraber thinking of them as kind of funk-ish hardcore back when I listened to them.

Blast Tyrant and Robot Hives are no doubt my two favorite Clutch albums. I don't know which I like more though. They're good in different ways.
