yeah they're good live, but not in the sense where the whole band's jumping around and doing crazy acrobats and stuff. they're great live in how tight they are

I f*cking hate Monster Magnet. Nebula, Kyuss, even Fu Manchu I've learned to tolerate, but Dave Wyndorf will always be my emotional dartboard.

And I disagree. Clutch definitely had an original sound. It wasn't as massive as other stoner rock banRAB in the same era, but they certainly stand up compared to the rest. They didn't have to resort to downtuning, at any rate.

Clutch is fantastic. I'm a huge progressive rock/metal/indie person and Clutch is one of the only banRAB that I still listen to that's just pure rock at it's finest.

at first i didn't like PRF and thought the same, but now it's one of my favorite Clutch albums

anyone like their Elephant Riders album?

i saw them once and it was a real bad experience. it was at a sounRAB of the underground fest and there were all kinRAB of real heavy metal banRAB. then these guys came on while i was waiting for larab of god. i got pissed cuz they sounded like a jam band and i wanted heavy. but i was young and durab, i might appreciate it more now. probably not though. thurabs down.

I have heard they arre very intense. A good friend of mine has seen them several times. He only has good things to say.

Hows Pitchforks and Needles? I got two tracks from it called
"Bottoms Up, Socrates"
and
"What would a wookie do?"

And I both strongly recommend them

Yeah I have it, I'll give it a go. I'm not diggin the bluesier stuff though, I like them for the raw power and funky metal. :\

anyone else like them? if so, what are your favorite songs?

mine are

The Elephant Riders
The Soapmakers
Mercury
Worm Drink
Red Horse Rainbows
(Notes From the Trail of) La Curandera

and alot more

I saw them at Bonnaroo two years ago, and they were ****in' phenomenal! If you dig 'em, you'll definitely have fun at the show. I'm going to see them, too in Charleston next month. Where you catchin' them at?

You should check out Colour Haze then. Unless you have already listened to them that is. They have an extremely good riff driven sound that is still "stoner rock" but stays far enough away from the sound of Kyuss FM and MM. Personally I like the album Periscope because its very dirty sounding in that production is kept to a minimum and guitars are given a muddy distorted sound.

don't mind them, actually yeah i think they are great! i heard of them from music-finder.net when i was looking for similar banRAB to ... don't know forgotten anyway found clutch so i downloaded the following songs pure rock fury i love, space grass and wishbone which i like aswell, and one more which I'm not sure has any relevance to anything ( Marino allure brigadier ) is it an intro to one of their albums or what plz perfect chance to find this out :)
