Have an ev2, want an env3!!

hey everyone! my name is steven ala i am 14 i live in massachuetts and i just got my first cell phone.i got an env2 and i hate it,i want an env3 but i am not paying 300$ dollars just to get an env3.my env2 has alredy broken and its not even been 2 months!i hate this phone and i want an env3! ugh! can anyoneout there please help me???????
 
If your phone is broken, and it's less than two months old, Verizon will replace it (unless it's an obvious case of abuse). Whether they would consider replacing your enV 2 with an enV 3 really depends on the availability of the older model. Check with Verizon ... they will replace your phone with one just like it (but it never hurts to ask about an upgrade). :smart:
 
well the thing that im worrried about is my contract if i have to break it to get the env3 i just wish i could pay the 80$ and get an env3 but heres the thing:i got my env2 a week before the env3 came oiut and i was pissed cuz it said on the rack at my verizon store "COMING SOON" and i didnt know that it was 1 friggin week! so its just stupid cuz i dont want to have to pay like 300$bucks to break my contrtact but i want an env3 so im liketrapped
 
I don't blame you ... if you had known, you could have waited a week. What exactly is wrong with your enV2? My guess is that they will still replace it with another enV2 as long as they are available. You could still plead your case with the local Verizon people, especially because the enV3 came out a week later. I wouldn't break my contract for a newer phone either, but like I said, it never hurts to talk to them ... they may still let you opt out and switch over to the enV3 by paying contract price difference. The worst thing that can happen is that they will say "no." Verizon will still have to replace your enV2.
 
yah i guess so ha but i dont want to look like a bum tryiong to get a free env3 :) but the thing is,if i waited to return it and they discontinue the env2 wouldnt then i get an env3?

and umm 8 out of the 19 buttons on the front just wont even work at all and i havent even had it for 2 months
and sometimes every liek 20 times i turn the music on the volume just plain wint work at all for no reason and i have to turn it off and restart it

yah it was 12 days after i got my env2 that the env3 came out and i am rip****!
 
The enV2 has been a pretty reliable phone, based on other customer feedback. Yours may be the proverbial "lemon." Take it to your local VZW store, tell them you are disappointed, not only because the phone has failed so soon, but also because you really like the newer enV3, and would have waited another week to get one. The customer reps at your local VZW store may be sympathetic, and may bend the 30-day return policy a little. They may not, but you will still get a working env2. You won't know unless you ask. And remember, be nice! :D
 
The enV2, even when discontinued, will be available as a "warranty replacement". Whenever a device breaks or someone returns it because they just don't like it, they mail it back to LG...where LG fixes/tests it for reliability and then it becomes a refurbished warranty replacement device which is given to another customer who needs a replacement...the answer is they won't give you a different phone on a warranty replacement unless it breaks 3 times due to a similar manufacturer defect every time.
