i gave the gentlemen my car insurance information and all he gave me was his business card. I feel it was his fault as well because he was in the middle of turning, then stopped thus me bumping him....no others or police were involved. Should I contact my insurance company and tell them what damage was done so he doesnt try to pull something?

Never admit fault, nor should you try to apply fault in the event of an accident. That is what the insurance companies are there for & are paid to do.
Always always let your insurance company know, what happened & the circumstances involved. Where when & how, injuries basically everything.
Tell them even if no claim is going ahead (that you are aware of)

I once had a minor bump years ago that wasn't that bad. Myself & other driver decided against insurance companies as it was so small. Id like to point out it was his fault, but he went to his insurance first (I never told them) they found in his favour & my premium shot through the roof.

Yes you need to inform your insurance company and tell them your story first before he calls and tries to claim the accident and possibly more damage than what happenned..... it sounds like a little scratch... and if he wants to make a bigger deal out of it, since the police wasn't called, you are protecting yourself by getting your story 1st to the right people... If he wants to submit a claim to your insurance company, and exaggerates the damage, it works out better in court for you.

good luck..
