The last two days Ive been activating phones and they all say when your about to send a txt " network failure ..." or something like that tried refreshing account twice and nothing this happened with all my phones is txt down or does anyone know

cid is not longer automatically adding SMS to esn's belonging to flashed devices, it considers it an unsupported feature. you will need to call care to add sms, or if you are a dealer call ndcc or any local resources you have to add the feature.

I agree it is just going to tie up the customer support even more now. Heck they were complaining about it already and now that the dealer and customers are going to be calling more often for this very avoidable reason we will have much more complaints.

yes, i believe it is due to corabining the mms and sms into one feature code for plans, hopefully they will *fix* this soon by going back to how it was before or marking it as a compatible feature for CPE esns.

CID currently has a glitch in it. The past several days I've had customers call with CPE, and CID no longer gives an option to add texting to these phones. One customer had pfour lines on her account, three of them were on the $35/mo plan, two of them had text messaging with the plan, and her phone, the CPE one did not. The only way I could put it on her plan as an option was to put her on the $40 plan. She was not a happy camper :disappoin

Then I had another cx that had the $45 plan, CPE again, and CID said she had text to mexico, but not domestic text.

Maybe Cricket is taking that option out of CID for CPEs b/c of all the problems it causes with customers? How easily they forget Cricket's disclaimer that they can't guarantee all services will work on their rate plan when they activate flashed phones.

Or, if it's indeed a glitch, they need to fix it!

Just mark the model in CID as something other than CPE. You can also refresh the account yourself by going into CID and doing this. That way you don't have to call the dreaded NDCC.

One thing I forgot to mention is that you may need to go in like you are changing their rate plan after you change the phone model. You don't have to actually change the plan, just go to the screen, make sure their current RP is highlighted, and then click the arrow to move on. Under the actual feature breakdown on the customers homepage, you should see the "ZMM" Feature which is for text and picture messaging.
