Has the bad economy caused restaurant food quality to go down?

Anyone else notice that the ingredients used in restaurants are a lesser quality and freshness?

I have not noticed that in our town. What I have noticed is that many restaurants closed within the first 15 days of January! And, since then, I can only think of 2 new places that opened with in the past several mos. The quality of food is still up to parr!
