Has Orange stopped sponsoring Odeon?

I've noticed those oft-witty pre-feature aRAB are no longer playing at Odeon cinemas, instead being replaced by a crappy car ad involving snow white and the seven dwarfs....

I got the John Cleese one and one with a poster (which has been the only one that raised a titter from me) before King Kong on saturday.

Absolutely terrible - I can't believe people keep laughing at the Star Wars one! Embarrassing :o

I dont think they ever sponsered Odeon, as I used to see these ad's at the UGC/Cineworld, also saw the new Cleese one (and its crap) at a showcase cinema on Friday in front of Flightplan.

the odean and orange adRAB was really good they should make more of them. the star wars one was a good one with orange when dark vader comes in.

I can't stand the sight of them. Far too long, not funny and fails to get the point across to the audience (phone calls still seem to be regular occurance when I visit the flicks). Would prefer another trailer in its place.

aren't Odeon and UGC part of the same company or something though? its just that ive had vouchers for Odeon before and it says they are also valid at UGC.

No

UGC are owned by cineworld - part of Cine UK Ltd and backed by The Blackstone Group

Odeon are owned by Terra Firma Capital Partners

I think the Orange trailers aren't exclusive to Odeon - I have seen them in different cinema companies. Also Orange Wednesday offer is available at any participating cinema - I have been able to get offer at an independent cinema.
