Just last week my ex-husband (been divorced form 23 years) was ina car accident. His heart stopped but, the paramedics were able to revive him. When I heard from our daughters about his accident, I'd be lying if I didn't say I nearly collapsed upon hearing the news. He was released from the hospital yesterday.
Earlier this evening he showed up on my doorstep. Naturally I informed him how happy I was that he is all right and, managed to escape his accident with only minor injuries. He then continued to tell me that he considers our failed marriage to be his greatest regret and that he has been in love with me for the last 23 years.
He ended by asking me to give us another shot.... I told I needed time to think. My sister, who is a psychologist said that a brush with death can cause someone to change their life entirely and that it makes them see what is truly important in the world. I guess what I'm wondering is... SHould I give us another chance?
