Has MMA surpassed boxing as the premier fighting sport?

I was thinking about it and I'm almost sure most young fighting fans prefer MMA to boxing. I say that because other than Floyd Mayweather, boxing doesn't have many superstars IMO.
Whereas in MMA, you got Anderson Silva, GSP, Shogun Rua, Brock Lesnar, etc...guys in their prime!
Superstars are what make a sport and MMA has more than boxing...
Whatcha think?
