My husband was addicted to pain killers. About two years ago he went to a pain clinic and they gave him Suboxone. Everything was going great until early this fall he found out he has cancer.
The tumor was removed and he was again put on pain killers for the time that he was in the hospital. As he was getting chemo and ratiation they were also giving him pain killers too.
Now that he is done with the radiation (but is still getting chemo) they have taken him off the pain killers. He keeps asking them for all the perscriptions but they just tell him to take Tylonol.
He went to a new dr today in hopes that he would give him a pescription pain killer. My husband told him he doesn't have any energy and just wants to sleep and if he had the meRAB it would make him feel better. He also told him he neeRAB some type of speeders (I don't remeraber what the name of that drug was) because that would give him energy.
The PCP gave him a perscription for some type of depression med Bupropion because he said that it sounded like he was depressed and told him to try to get up and move around some more.
After this visit when we got home he called another PCP to make a visit becaue that dr wasn't giving him what he needed.
He's also started doing little things like he was doing before. He would tell me he was going to wash the car and come home an hour and a half later, or he's going to go run through the drive through and it would be the same deal.
He is still getting the Suboxone but I'm not sure if he's actually taking it or only taking it when he doesn't have any pain killers.
I don't want to have the money start disappearing from my purse or out of the bank account.again, what sould I do?
I know this is long but I'd appericate any help, Thanks
