Has Hip-Hop Led To Interracial Dating?

I think interracial attractions led to interracail dating and I don't think the music has anything to do with why they date unless they find something in common with their taste in music. I think a better question would be does it bother you?

Unless you're suggesting that the wiggas are getting the sistahs then the question could be construed to presuppose "black men are takin' our women" IYGMD. Where have I heard that before?

In case this question was directed at me, what I meant was "Does Interracial Dating Bother You?" would have been a better question to ask for this thread.
Once again, if a genre of music is going to be used, I still say that music can't cause it, it can only help bring two people together based upon personal tastes. But there is no chance for the musical taste to bring them closer together if there is no attraction to begin with.
But the question I think makes a generalization on race. Kind of like sinjin's first comment made a generalization on a life style.

Of course, if it wasn't directed at me, I still say this anyway.

Yeah. As much as Marlynn manson made kiRAB shoot up a high school, and just as much as cowboy troy and brooks & Dunn have influenced incest.

As for the issue bothering me, not at all. The people that hook up are based primarily on cultural similarities, not races. Many white women are into hip-hop music and culture, like black men are. The common ground provides a basis for a relationship. the genetic differences between races is less than .3 percent.

Any two people with common interests, and physical attraction to each other, should get together and discover each other all over. spread the love

Interracial dating has been going on for long before hip-hop was ever thought of.
Hip-hop society is responsible for a number of other issues that should make the parent of any hiphopper hang their head in shame over. Hip Hop is a disgusting leap backwarRAB for civilization.

That is an absurdly ignorant statement. Some of the lyrics in some rap and hip-hop songs are stupid trash but it is actually a fantastic musical medium.

A better question would be "have white walls led to racism?" "Has the war in Iraq led to interracial dating?"

I just don't see how hip hop and interracial dating have anything to do with each other. You mean people of all races listen to hip-hop and date? Was that not true with other music? Was there white and black music before? I just don't see the point trying to be made here.

yea, right. Most songs that have made charts are remakes of 60's, 70's and 80's rock songs. Hip hoppers can put together worRAB, usually nasty or hostile.
But writing music is not in their box of tools. Outlandish displays of disrespect and dressing up like shaggy from Scooby Doo is the prominent thought they invoke. With hero's like Tu pac shakur and others who's names sound like star wars characters.
The worst of all is the richest, Sean Combs. Here is an incredibly talented, intelligent man, who achieved a masters degree. Then chooses to use that talent and intelligence to further a society that does nothing but open wide a door that spews violence and filth as the norm.

Whatever. Every generation's insecure oldies feels compelled to diss the current generations efforts at creating music. It was done with jazz, rock, punk, metal, and now rap and hip-hop. And the critizing is usually done by those who really don't listen to the what they are critizing, or who only knows what skips along in the ever sellable popular culture. I can think of several examples where you are dead wrong and I am not even a big rap fan (I love rock). You can just wish you were as original as most of the hip-hop artists there since your serman is as old and unoriginal as dirt.

Yup, diddy, is a smart and intelligent man. And he did it through hip-hop. He is a hip-hop legend. You are very closed minded when it comes to hip-hop. And tupac, made alot of positive music. You don't know what your talking about. Alot of people who don't know how to dance, usually dis hip-hop, maybe thats your problem. Learn how to dance, and maybe you'll enjoy the music.

Now back to the topic. I don't see where it makes any sense at all. How can hip-hop lead to interracial dating. There are people out there that never listen to hip-hop, and they are in a interracial relationship. And what about me?! I'm black, but I love chinese men. And not the ones who run around trying to act black. So what is my reason for liking them?! To much chinese food?! This thread is silly.

I've voted yes, as I wouldn't have met my boyfriend without us liking the same music and discussing it at first.. but I suppose that can be the same with any music. In a way though if you like hip hop and happen to be white you'll be going to hip hop clubs where the majority are minority races, so you're more likely to mix and socialise with people you wouldn't normally on a night out.
