has anyone tried to find out about home made pregnancy tests?

just wanted to know if people have found out or tried home made pregnancy tests and they worked. I have a friend who is too stubborn to buy a test and she thinks there is a way to find a home made test by using something like chemicals. Just wanted to know lol
this is just for laughs ...she is not really going to cook something up and go by it ...it is like when you experiment with new things just to see. This is only a question to see what people in america think.... THANKS!!
 
Is this a joke? Well if she doesn't have the money to buy one she can always go to the dollar store. Please do not try a homemade pregnancy test. That is just like guessing that she is or isn't pregnant. There is nothing concrete to go by.
 
I would think that buying a test would be easier than cooking something up yourself.

There are lots of old wives' tales about indications of pregnancy. If a rabbit dies, for instance, that means you're pregnant. I guess she could go to the pet store and buy a rabbit and see what happens.
