Has Anyone Switched To This Plan?

My Faves Family Plan

$69.99 a month for 2 Lines

800 Whenever Minutes (I don't talk that much LOL)

Unlimited Nights and Weekends

My reason for switching to a Family Plan is the fact that I have 2 phones I use.

I would be adding the BB Unlimited BIS AddOn ($19.99) and the Unlimited SK AddOn ($19.99) soI could switch back and forth without swapping my SIM.

Has anyone done this or something similar and how did you manage without having a bill you had a heart attack over?

I sent T-Mo CS an email about the plan as I am due for a handset upgrade this year. If I can get the plan, I will upgrade one phone at a time.

Erica,

Another possibility for you, depending on how much you use either phone, is to have one of your "extra" phones be a "to-go" account. I don't actually talk that much and, if you don't use that many minutes, a "to-go" 2nd phone is ideal. You can re-charge the minutes as infrequently as 90 days for $10 and eventually (after you've spent $100 in renewals) you get to the "Gold Rewards" status where your minutes don't expire for a year.

Just a possibility - especially if you're flex pay like me to begin with - but the "to-go" thing is always possible for an extra phone - no data on it though.

I was thinking about putting my the SK (IF I decide to get the LX) on a prepaid account but it's not eligible for the Gold Rewards unless this has changed. The SK prepaid does have data. I may just stay with one phone for now unless I can negotiate a lower price family plan.

I use less than 100 minutes per month.

Right now I'm just trying to find out how much I would be paying for the 8120 with my upgrade discount and rebate (I know it's different depending on location). I emailed CS 4 days ago and no reply. I would call but my home phone is not working (needs to be replaced) and I don't feel like using my minutes to stay on hold with CS.

Understand the time issue but, if you call sometime OTHER THAN Monday am - try to pick a mid-morning or mid-afternoon on Tues, Wed. or Thur you might not have that long of a wait time. I usually get in within 2-3 minutes. You can always hang up if the wait time is too long. Good luck.

Thanks Johnny and to the TMO CS for FINALLY replying to my e-mails. $167.99 (2 year upgrade price plus $50 MIR) plus tax for the 8120. I will be getting this within 2 weeks.

^^Nice price. I got mine for $148.38 I believe total (upgrade & extension). I get it tomorrow! I always think I can leave the blackberry world but i'm a crackberry addict! LOL

They gave you that price in-store? Even nicer. I had to talk to retentions to get that price for mine! And that's with no rebate, I gotta call them up and see if they'll take the rebate cause i've been with T-Mobile since July of 06 and I've upgraded atleast 4 or 5 times but never sent in any rebate. Make sure they allow you to get your rebate. $50 is $50!
