Has anyone spent there summer holiday abroad working in a camp?

I am strongly considering to apply to spend most of my summer holiday next year in America working on a camp and I was wondering what it was like (particularily swimming instructors) ?
 
My son went to New York Catskill mountains more than twenty years ago with Camp America.It was hard work but he had a wonderful time and made many really good friends. He is still in touch with some of them, especially the one who married a girl from NY and still lives there.You should go.You will never get another opportunity to have so much fun and the experience of a lifetime.
 
Take the opportunity when you can!

I went to a camp in New York state (in the Catskills also). It was a fantastic experience, and a great way to be able to afford a prolonged trip travelling around the country afterwards.

i went on Camp America a while back and worked as a drama teacher in Ohio...i live in the UK,

It was a blast - had such good fun and made some good friends. it's a memory i will always love for my time there.

i say go for it, you will love it.
 
This is really a nice idea to have a travel to America. There are many hot places where you can enjoy. But it is very difficult to get the opportunity to travel to America. You should go there & have a nice tour.
