I tried reading it twice but couldn't. I didn't get the language, was uninterested in Dante's twisted fantasy, and was bored to death.
Although, I know there's people out there that love it. Plus, it's been in print for ages! I wish to know why it's a classic. I know the book must have some awesome qualities that I never caught onto.
Could someone please explain why it is a great book, because I would truly like to understand why it's a classic. Then, perhaps when and if I try to read it for a third time, I'll know what good qualities to look for and actually make it through!
